Our Philosophy

The Daruma is a traditional Japanese doll with origins in Zen Buddhism. Today it can be symbolic for setting and achieving goals. When a goal is committed to, the first eye is marked. When that goal is achieved, the second eye is added, providing closure. The Daruma then becomes a constant reminder of one's achievement.

The Daruma is part of our brand logo because it's the essence of a sabbatical well spent - investing in one's passion with clear goals for personal fulfillment.
